Scenario of carbon dioxide (CO2) emission peaking and reduction path implication in five northwestern provinces of China by the low emissions analysis platform (LEAP) model

Achieving global peaking of carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) emissions as early possible is a common goal for all countries. However, CO in the northwest China still show rapid growth trend. Thus, we used Low Emissions Analysis Platform (LEAP) model to build three scenarios investigate peak and reduction pathways five northwestern provinces China. The results that: 1) under baseline, policy, green will 2035 (1663.46 × 10 6 tonnes), 2031 (1405.00 2027 (1273.96 respectively. 2) provinces, except Qinghai, not before 2030 baseline scenario. Under policy scenarios, each province achieve by 2030. 3) from agriculture, transportation, other sectors construction industry commerce 4) emission effect indicates that 2020 2040 be reduced 4137.70 tonnes scenario 7201.46 industrial coal thermal power are with greatest potential reduce emissions.
